Beehive Sterilization

Hello Everyone,

We are working with the North Okanagan Beekeepers Association and organizing a trip to Sterigenics in Vancouver to have supers sterilized. If you have not seen or heard of this process before, any super, shallow or deep, and all its comb are run through an electron beam which shreds the DNA of any disease or pathogen including Chalk brood spores, Nosema or AFB spores and pretty well everything else. The process does not harm your comb and saves a lot of effort and expense over replacing your equipment.

The provincial government has provided funding to cover a portion of the cost so this will be fairly cheap!
